Arachnoid cysts of the spinal canal communicating with the subarachnoid space are benign lesions and generaııy asymptomatic.

In this article we report a case of intradural arachnoid cyst presenting with hydrocephalus and paraparesis. The case is reviewed with pertinent literature.
