The patient was discharged two days after admission in normal neurological condition. Previously published cases of acute subdural hematomas with rapid spontaneous resolution are reviewed and possible mechanisms for rapid resolution such as redistribution and/or washing out of the hematoma due to an arachnoid tear are discussed. Keywords : Head injury, nonoperative treatment, spontaneous resolution, subdural hematoma
